The Comptroller of Immigration Service Rivers State Command James Sunday, has launched operation Shigan Bultu.
The operation was launched after the Comptroller completed a tour of units under his Command to appraise officers commitment to duty.
“Operation Shigan Bultu”, is an under cover exercise to checkmate excesses and lukewarm attitude of officers and men at work in the Command.
The Comptroller, a former service Public Relations Officer(PRO) said it will be counter productive and unethical for any personnel to negate service standard and fall short of expectation.
He advised that it is a privilege to be in a service that does not delay salaries as at when due and that as a result officers and men of the Command must deliver on the mandate of the Comptroller General.
The new operation, the Comptroller said will monitor officers performance including me and that anytime he falls below standard the command management team can bring it to his notice.
“It is a teamwork and all of us at the management of the command must leave above board,no compromise nor excuse for negligence of our assigned task.
“Every unit has an under cover under the exercise . It is an open secret to keep everybody on his or her toes,we must deliver to the satisfaction of our public and improve the image of the service wherever we are on duty. We shall not renege on the service core values to be professional,ethical and institutional minded.
“People must be served as an institution, not individuals touting or trunketing service standard,” he said
