Awori Tourism Facilitator and Chairman, Association of Tourism Practitioners of Nigeria (ATPN) South West Zone, Prince Femi Fadina, said his organisation which recently organised the first ever Awori nation cultural festival, will roll out full campaign machinery to ensure the re -election of the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-0lu come February 2023.
Fadina, who has shown creative capacity to drive inclusiveness to key tourism projects, mobilising resources and human derivatives, disclosed that Governor Sanwo-0lu achievements in repositioning culture, entertainment, hospitality and tourism remains a high point in the socio-economic growth for a greater and prosperous Lagos.
From roads, rails, waterways transportation, security , culture, entertainment and rural areas empowerment, Governor Sanwo-0lu, according to the Prince of Awori, has excelled beyond measures and therefore deserves the vote and support of private sector tourism practitioners, tourism agencies heads and all who ply their trades in tourism, entertainment, hospitality and culture.
“We have seen and noticed traders, organised labour groups, transport workers boldly coming out to hold up the flags for re-election of ‘Mr. Talk and Do’ governor of Lagos State and felt, we should aggressively mobilise all our groups and willing beneficiaries of the great investment opportunities which Babajide Sanwo-0lu strategically deployed to drive best enabling environment for the industry in lagos,” Fadina explained.
On the date and location for the campaign, the Awori Prince, stated that consultations are ongoing to ensure all sub sector tourism practitioners and leadership are carried along.
According to him, “It is going to be massive and we have reached out to those who find our intentions to return the governor back office very noble and strategic.”
