The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria has suspended an Airfield staff following a near incident between Max Air aircraft from Abuja that landed on 18 L and a maintenance vehicle belonging to the Civil Department of the Authority that was averted.

As a result, FAAN suspended the officer that was on duty when the incident occurred at the Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA), Lagos.

A statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu said that the authority FAAN has also commenced full scale investigation into the incident

She explained that the essence of the investigation is to prevent  re- occurrence of such incident.
