FAAN Denies  Armed Air Force Personnel Invaded Lagos Airport

The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN)has stated categorically  that Nigerian Air Force(NAF) personnel did not invade the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos as wrongly reported.
A statement by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN,  Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, explained that what took place was a routine Security operation by a Joint Aviation Security Task Force comprising personnel from Aviation Security (AVSEC), Department of Security Services (DSS) and Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to rid the airport of touts and miscreants, in accordance with Standards and Recommended Practices.
She added that there was nothing like invasion but a routine security operation.

FAAN, she said is committed to its  core values of safety, security and comfort.
