…Appeals For Airlines, Passengers, Other Stakeholders Understanding
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) said that it has commenced the installation of Check-in and Screening Equipment at the Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA) Lagos and Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport(NAA) Abuja.
A statement by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs,FAAN,Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, said the installation of these systems is in a bid to address recent challenges in airport operations and facilitation management systems at the two airports.
FAAN added that additional 15 security screening machines have been procured for immediate deployment to the General Aviation Terminal(GAT) and the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos and that they have also been installed already.
The authority appealed to airlines, passengers and other stakeholders to bear with the agency while the installation lasts, as FAAN is working assiduously to ensure speedy completion of the project.
FAAN , Yakubu said, is committed to her core values of providing safety, security and comfort for airport users.
