
…Tasks Aviation Journalists On Using Report To Enlighten Public
The Chief Executive Officer of Aero Contractors, Capt. Mahmood Abdullahi has assured the League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents(LAAC) that the airline would continue to support the association’s activities in the process of trying to contribute its quota to the development of the aviation industry.
He gave the assurance when the new Executive of LAAC led by its Chairman , Olusegun Koiki paid a courtesy call on the Chief Executive Officer of the airline head office today at the General Aviation Terminal(GAT),Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA),Lagos.
Speaking further during the visit, the Aero boss urged aviation journalists to enlighten the Nigerian public on the aviation industry, adding that the aviation media are the eyes of the industry.
Informed that LAAC embarked on a yearly training at the foremost Nigerian College of Aviation Technology(NCAT) for manpower development and better reportage of the industry, he said that he was happy that aviation journalists were going for training to improve and gain more knowledge of the sector .
He tasked LAAC as a body of aviation journalists to always give the Nigerians the right information, adding that with the yearly training at NCAT , the association is now on the right track.
“Partnership with LAAC will continue under this management . Whatever we can do to make you move the industry forward we will not do”.
The Chairman of LAAC , Olusegun Koiki , had earlier solicited the support of Aero in two major programmes on the association’s calendar .
The programmes according to the Chairman is the annual seminar that is held between July and August and the annual LAAC training at NCAT, which is held in February.
The LAAC Chairman, informed the new CEO of Aero that there has been existing relationship between Aeo and LAAC when Capt Ado Sanusi was at the Chief Executive Officer, adding that the association’s visit today further cement the relationship.
