The Managing Director of Aero Contractors,Capt. Ado Sanusi has bowed out of the airline after over three years of managing the over five decades old carrier.
He bowed down on December 31,2020 after managing the airline to an enviable height.
Capt Sanusi was the Managing Director of Aero Contractors from February 13, 2017 till December 31, 2020 .
Meanwhile,anxiety has envelped the airline due to the stepping out of the carrier’s former Managing Director, as the workers are apprehensive not knowing the next step the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria(AMCON) will take or what will befall them following the exit of their enviable former CEO .
Sanusi during his tenure at Aero was instrumental to the setting up of Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) which brough back some of its aircraft that were hitherto not flying.
Also, while at Aero, he was able to secure third party maintenance approval and this has yielded results as the MRO has clients in West and Central Africa in Ghana.
Sanusi, a professional to the core, was the Deputy Managing Director of Arik Air, whose fortune has been dwindling and it was after he left Still that he became the CEO of Aero.
The outgone Aero CEO was also a former Managing Director of the Managing Director of the Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) in. 2009.
He also led Aero in 2017 to secure approval to handle C-Checks on Boeing 737series, Bombardier Turboprop airliner series.
The approval secured in 2017 under Sanusi Aero from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) allows its MRO to carry out C-checks on Boeing B737-300, B737-400 and B737-500 at its terminal
Sanusi started his flying carrier at the famous Nigerian College of Aviation Technology (NCAT), Zaria,Kaduna state, where he obtained Commercial Pilot License and a National Diploma in Aeronautical Sciences.
He then proceeded to the US, where he obtained Air Transport Pilot License (ATPL) Certified Flight and Ground Instructor’s license in the following institution in the US : Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Flight Safety Savannah GA, University of Southern California, Simuflite Dallas TX North America Training and Development TX, USAir Training center Pittsburg PA Flight Safety International Wichita KS.
