—Directs Senate To Appoint Acting VC
The Federal Government today asked the Wale Babalakin-led Governing Council of the University of Lagos(UNILAG), the embattled Vice Chancellor, Prof Toyin Ogundipe and the Acting Vice Chancellor appointed by Babalakin, to step aside pending the outcome of a probe into happenings in the school.
This is jusT as the Federal Government also directed the Senate of the university to appoint an Acting VC for the school
The government has also constituted a Visitation Panel to look into the crisis in the university and the panel is expected to submit its report within two weeks.
