
The Comptroller of Immigration Service Plateau State Command, Nana Kemi Nandap said that the agency and the Nigerian Army are collaborating for security networking between the two agencies on the Plateau.
The collaboration was deliberated on when the Commander of the Special Task Force Operation Safe Haven in Plateau, Major General Chukwuemeka Okonkwo paid her a working visit in return.
During the visit, issues relating to synergy, collaboration were discussed for a robust Security networking between the two agencies.
Since assumption of duty, the Comptroller has shown her interest in establishing working relationships with the traditional rulers, host community, the military, security and response agencies in the state.
The result was evident when she embarked on educating and sensitizing motorist at the boundary of Plateau and neighboring states during the lockdown.
The Comptroller alongside other members of the Plateau state security and response agencies monitored vehicles attempting to enter the state from neighboring states and were halted to reduce the spread of COVID-19 during the interstate lockdown.
Nandap has forged ahead cementing working relationships between the officers and men of NIS, the military, security and response agencies in the Plateau.
This move, a statement by the National Public Relations Officers, Deputy Comptroller Of Immigration, Sunday James, said has given the Command leverage in the sharing of intelligence, enforcement of Immigration laws and ease of operation.
