As Muslim faithfuls across the world prepares for the Eid-el-Fitri celebration, which connotes the end of the Ramadan fasting, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has felicitated with Nigerians on this occasion.
Felicitation to Muslims faithfuls in the country was conveyed in a statement signed by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu.
“The Ramadan season signifies a period of retrospection, self evaluation and renewal of our commitment to all that is good.
“It re-emphasizes our collective will to always strive to be the best we can, even in the face of adversities.” She said.
She stated that as the world continues to position for the defeat of the COVID-19 pandemic, “we want to assure our customers that we care for them and will soon return to rendering our services to them.”
Meanwhile, FAAN has advised Nigerians to please stay safe and adhere to all measures laid down by the government to contain the Coronavirus pandemic.
FAAN, she said is committed to its core value of safety, security and comfort.
Recalled that the Federal Government declared Monday, May 25 and 26, 2020, public holiday to mark Eldi Fitri Celebration.
The Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, had made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in Abuja.
Aregbesola commended Muslim faithfuls for successful completion of the Ramadan fast.
A statement by the Director of Press, Ministry OF Interior, Mohammed Manga, quoted Aregbesola as asking Muslim faithfuls to replicate the life of kindness, love, tolerance, peace and good neighbourliness as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).
