…Urges APC Not To Grant Chairman Access To Party Secretariat
The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court has given an order restraining Comrade Adams Oshiomole from parading himself as the National Chairman of the ruling, All Progressives Congress (APC) .
In the application filed by an applicant, Oluwale Afolabi, Oshiomhole is the first respondent while APC is the second respondent.
Afolabi in his application dated and filed on January 16, 2020, argued that Oshiomhole is currently suspended by the party and has not challenged the suspension.
Afolabi further argued that Oshiomhole’s rights as an APC member is currently abated and that he cannot continue to act as the National Chairman of APC.
Afolabi contended that Oshiomhole cannot continue to enjoy benefits from the APC, despite his suspension as a member of the party.
What this means is that Oshiomole seizes to be the National Chairman of the party, pending the determination of the various legal battles.
In his ruling Hon. Justice Senchi Danlami gave an order of interlocutory injunction restraining Comrade Adams Oshiomhole from parading himself as the National Chairman of the APC, pending the hearing and determination of the substance suite.
The court also ordered that Oshiomole should stop parading himself as the chairman of the APC and asked APC to desist from acknowledging him as the chairman of the party
The court has also given the APC orders not to grant Oshiomhole access to the party secretariat.
A Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Damian Dodo, represented Oshiomhole and the APC.
Recalled that Comrade Adams Oshiomole was recently suspended by his party at his Ward, Local Government and State levels and it was based on this premise the injunction was granted.
Some of the allegations that brought about his suspension from the party include: alleged highhandedness, misappropriation of funds and Disregard for the rule of law.

Besides it was alleged that Comrade Adams, single handedly appointed a National Secretary for the party without any constitutional backing and this has been causing ripples among the NWC members
There is also the allegations of misappropriation of fund, as it concerns the spending of the over N15, 000,000,000, raised during the 2019 elections.
