Barely four days after the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi confirmed an Italian Consultant as Nigeria’s first victim of Coronavirus,a Chinese national suspected of Coronavirus infection has been quarantined in Lagos.
The suspected was said to have been intercepted on Monday at international wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The Chinese national was said to be coughing without seizing on arriving at Lagos Airport on board Ethiopian Airlines.
He was intercepted by airport officials who immediately handed him over to Port Health personnel.
The Port Health personnel have since transferred him to the quarantine centre at Yaba, Lagos where he is undergoing tests and observation.
Recalled that the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof Akin Abayomi had confirmed that an Italian consultant with Larfarge Cement Company, Ewekoro, Ogun State in Lagos has tested positive to the COVID-19 Virus.
