…Unveils New Firm; SIFAX-SAHCO Travels Limited
…Solicits For Patronage
The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Skyway Aviation Handling Company (SAHCo) PLC, Mr .Basil Agboarumi has stated that plans was at an advanced stage to procure more ground support equipment fitted with the latest technology in line with the company’s projected and ever- expanding customers in 2020.
This is just as SIFAX and SAHCO unveiled travel firm that will take care of the travel needs of clients, stakeholders and members of the public.
The SAHCO boss stated this while speaking at the Client Appreciation Party organised by SAHCO at the weekend in Lagos.
Agboarumi explained that the move to procure more state- of- the –art equipment in 2020 was part of efforts to sustain the gains of 2019, which saw the ground handling company providing excellent and top notch services to its customers.
In his words, “Ours is a partnership that works and very dependable and reliable.”
Looking into retrospect, he said that in 2019 SAHCo, also in a bid to boost its cargo handling services took delivery of Cargo Scanning Machines, ETD Machine as well as constructed a state-of-the–art cargo transit warehouse for perishable, expanded the export warehouse facility not only to satisfactorily attend the needs of its clients but to also encourage export shipments in Nigeria
Agboarumi added that these measures have helped the company to boost the confidence of its client.
“No doubt, these measures have boosted the confidences our clients in the service we provide and instrumental to the move of some our current clients from the competitor to us as well as winning new entrants into the Nigerian aviation space,” Agboarumi said.
The Managing Director said that SAHCO’s promise to its customers is to provide them safe, speed and excellent ground handling services, adding that in keeping with this “we shall ensure that we don’t carry out our duties in accordance with best practices”
Earlier, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr Taiwo Afolabi thanked clients for their continued support to make SAHCo grow to the present level and also expressed his happiness at the rate at which SAHCO is growing and all the successes it has achieved in the past year.
Afolabi, who was represented by the Vice Chairman, SAHCO Board, Barrister Chike Ogeah, said that without the support of the its esteemed clients the ground handling company would not have achieved so much .
He urged stakeholders to buy SAHCO shares whenever it is offered for sale, adding that SAHCo was looking forward to achieving more in 2020.
On his part, the SIFAX Group Managing Director, High Chief Olukunle Oyinloye, commended clients for partnering with SAHCO PLC , stating that the partnership has yielded fruitful results .
“SAHCO is doing well and we are happy,’ he said.
He disclosed that in the next five years, SAHCO would expand to a minimum of five countries at both airports and seaports of these countries, adding that the ground handling company cannot carry out the expansion alone without the collaboration of SAHCO’s partners
Oyinloye said that SAHCO PLC with total staff strength of 1,500 has provided 4,000 direct jobs, stressing that these achievements were made possible via the vision of one man; Dr Taiwo Afolabi.
High point of the event was the unveiling of another subsidiary company called SIFAX-SAHCO Travels Limited by members of the Board of SAHCO and its management team
SIFAX-SAHCO Travels Limited, which presently has offices in Abuja, Kano Lagos and Port Harcourt has as its pay off “Navigate the World with Us”
The promoters of the of the company; SIFAX-SAHCO, while unveiling the new entity, solicited for patronage from the public, adding that the travel company would serve customers the way SAHCO has been serving its clients.
The event was attended by airlines;domestic and international airlines and other SAHCO clients.
