…Says Company Has Created Footprints, As Discovery Week 2019 Begins Today
The Sales & Marketing Director, B2C, Canon Central and North Africa, Amine Djouahra, has stated that Canon,the imaging solution leader would continue to invest in Nigeria, as the journey to the country since 2016 has been exciting.
This is just as he also stated that the Imaging Solution leader had created its footprints in the Nigerian market and that the patronage had been encouraging.
He said this today at the second edition of Canon Discovery Week, which started today in Lagos.
Speaking at the event, Amine said that the direction of the Canon is to go closer to Nigeria in view of the large number of youths in the country that very active and into photography.
He added that the company wants to reach out to both professional and amateur photographers to get use to Canon products, which according to him is the best in Africa in terms of imaging solutions.

Amine said that that Canon has a lot of fantastic products, which he said are the solution to imaging challenges being the leader of the market.
He disclosed that Canon has localised its products by involving African photographers, adding that the feed-back the organisation got from African photographers were considered in designing the company’s products.
According to him, “We have decided to involve African photographers to get involve in what Canon do to get the best from them before putting our products out there in Africa markets.”
“Canon as a brand thinks about Africa photographers; including Nigerian photographers. They contribute to the design of Canon products,” he added.
He urged Nigerians to patronise Canon products, saying that “Anything you need in terms of imaging is found in Canon. We are a fantastic brand when it comes to imaging solutions. Our products are user-friendly.”
Canon , he said has become a trusted partner in Nigeria over the past few years and it was committed to pursuing its growth and development opportunities in the country, which represent a key market in West Africa.
According to him, “Building on the success of last year, “Our objective is plural: to meet and exchange with photographers, give them a satisfying customer experience by helping them become more familiar with our devices and allow us to better anticipate their ever-changing needs. We aim to maintain this meeting with our customers every year in order to sustain this essential link that allows us to refresh our offerings regularly and launch innovative products that meet or even anticipate our customers’ needs.”
On Canon Discovery Week, Amine explained that the week is dedicated to professional photographers, amateur or occasional and that it is aimed at knowing Canon users better by giving them the opportunity to interact with its team, which is more than happy to share best practices and give advice on Canon products.
He added that customers will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in various experiences that will give them the opportunity to develop their creative skills, with the support of the Canon
He also stated that there would be Check and Clean event; where Canon will clean cameras for customers for free.
Some of the Canon products on display at the event are Powershot 67XMark 111 camera, mirror-less cameras, Zoemini and Zoe mini x among others
While the printers include and not limited PIXMA G Series, which includes PIXMA G6040,PIXMA G5040 and PIXMA GM2040.
