AIB Begins Investigation On Max Air Serious Incident At Minna Airport

 

Accident Investigations Bureau (AIB), Nigeria, said that it has been notified by Max Air of the serious incident involving its airplane a Boeing 747-400 series, with registration n umber 5N-DB on September 7, 2019.

The incident occured during the final approach on runway 23 at the Minna International Airport, Niger State.

This is just as it said it has commenced investigation on the matter.

According to a statement issued by AIB Commissioner, Engr. Akin Olateru said that the aircraft took off from King Abdul –AZIZ International Airport, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia with 560 passengers and 16 crew members on board

AIB added that with the information provided by the airline, the aircraft on landing screeped the runway, while the No 1 engine brushed the runway surface and that no injury was reported.

According to him, “As the investigation agency AIB needs and hereby solicit for your help .We want the public to know that we would be amenable to receiving any video clip, relevant information any members of the public may have of the serious incident that can assists us with this investigation
