Enugu Airport Closure: Ethiopian Airways Moves Operations To PH

Ethiopian Airlines, the largest Aviation Group in Africa and Skytrax certified Four Star Global Airline, has stated that it would continue its operation in Nigeria to/from Port Harcourt (PHC).

The airline stated that the decision to fly from Port Harcourt followed the planned temporary closure of Enugu Airport by the Federal Airports Authority (FAAN) to carry out repair work on the airport

A statement by the General Manager, Ethiopian Airlines, Nigeria, Firihiewot Mekonnen stated that Africa leading carrier would continue to offer the usual high quality service from PHC starting from September 3, 2019 until 23 November 2019.

According to her, “Nigeria is the only African country where Ethiopian has opened four destinations. This demonstrates strengthened bilateral relation between Ethiopian and Nigeria. We will make every effort to provide excellent service in Nigeria as well as across the continent to help our customers access our global network.

“We would like to inform our customers that Ethiopian airlines will resume operation to/from Enugu as soon as the renovation is completed and the date of reopening will be communicated in due course.”
