Police Arrests American For Stabbing Billafary Towing Service Staff In the Ear At Lagos Airport
The Airport Police Command has arrested an American Bredlove Shawn 56,for allegedly slapping and using a key to tear and break one of the ears of Femi Banjoko 32, a staff of a towing company; Billafary Towing Service at the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos, for daring to tow the Uber car that came to pick him that was parked at un-authorised area of the airport thereby seriously injuring him.
The incident AbelNews learnt happened in the early hours of today at the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport.
Speaking to journalists on the issue the Chief Executive Officer of Billafary Towing Service Alhaji Lamidi Falekunlo, who confirmed the incident, said that without provocation, the man, who he described as foreigner came out of his car and slapped one of my boys after which he used a key to tear and punch one of his ears.
He added that the damage caused to his ear was serious, as the victim has been rushed to the General Hospital, Ikeja where he would be operated on by medics.
The CEO stated that the American had been arrested and detained at the Beesam Police Station.
The Division Police Officer, International Airport Police Station, Superintendent Danjuma Garuba, who also confirmed the story, said that the accused has been detained and would be charged to court tomorrow.
On whether the American, Bredlove Shawn narrated what happened to him, the DPO said , Bredlove said that he came to visit his fiancé Adefunke Adebola
Bredlove, the DPO said told him that the towing company wanted to tow the Uber car his fiancé Adefunke Adebola came to the airport with to receive him.
Bredlove said that the towing company staff pushed him and he took the car key from the Uber driver and pierced it into the towing official’s ear and that the key broke inside the ear.
The DPO said that the relations of Adefunke Adebola have been begging but that he told them that the Bredlove would be charged to court tomorrow.
The DPO stated that at the station, the American, who is supposed to be sober, was saying “Nigeria is a lawless country and nothing will happen to him”
