The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has assured airport users that Nigerian airports under its management are fully ready to play host to air travellers during this Sallah celebration.
An online statement by the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu, stated that as part of preparations to ensure seamless facilitation of its highly esteemed passengers during the Sallah celebrations and beyond, the VIP Protocol lounges at the terminals in Lagos and Abuja, have been refurbished to give maximum comfort and value to our customers.
FAAN in the statement added that facilities at its airports have been generally improved upon and are functioning optimally, adding that airport security and other logistics have been upgraded and strengthened to provide for the expected increase in passenger traffic in and around airports.
The agency also informed that new directional display units have been provided to guide travellers, especially new ones, at its airports and that airport dos and don’ts banners have also been displayed at strategic locations to educate newcomers.
The agency advised the general public and intended travellers to make early preparations towards completing their travel requirements in good time.
It reiterated that receiving dignitaries at restricted areas by security agents and airport officials is prohibited, warning that anyone found wanting will be prosecuted.
FAAN stated that it was committed to its core values; safety; security and comfort.
