The school said that of the 1,821 students that attended the Open Day programme, which was held recently, 1,743 pupils were from Katsina, Kano and Kaduna States, while the other 78 pupils and students were private individuals.

Speaking on the programme, the Rector of NCAT, Capt. Abdusalami Muhammed, said that the aviation school had projected 1500 students for the programme, but that almost 2,000 eventually attended the event.

He explained that the event was an eye-opener to many of the attendees, who were hitherto ignorant of the various courses offered by the college and the multiple opportunities abound in the industry.

Muhammed emphasised that the participating students were educated on the activities of the college that were beneficial to them, adding that the college would make the programme a regular one.

The Open Day Programme, the Rector stated achieved its aim of sensitising the public on the activities of the college.

Muhammed had stated that the programme was opened to all students across the country, including undergraduates from higher institutions of learning.
