The Chief Security Officer (CSO), Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL), operators of Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2), Lagos Mr. Olayinka Olatunji has been laid off.
This is just as the Head of Corporate Communications of the organisation Mrs. Eniola Ade-Solanke resigned on Friday
The development is coming barely few months after the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Capt. Jari Williams and six other senior staff of BASL were allegedly forced to resign their appointments.
A source close to the terminal operator told AbelNews that that Olatunji who would have retire from the company later this year, when he would by 60 years, was allegedly forced to resign his appointment.
Recalled that in October last year, two weeks after the picketing of the terminal for about five days by aviation unions, seven senior staff were forced to resign from their positions for not preventing the unions from picketing the terminal.
Some of the affected senior staff then were Capt. Jari Williams; CEO, Head of Corporate Communications; Chief Stephen Omolale, Head of Internal Audit; Mr. Olakunle Tiamiyu, Head of Human Resources and Procurement; Mrs. Ikeoluwa Erinoluwa and Head of Space, Ms. Alake Macaulay.
The source also said that Ade-Solanke, who took over from Omolale as the Head, Corporate Communications late last year, for what she termed “ harsh working environment.”
“She resigned on her own to volition to seek greener pasture,” the source told AbelNews.
The source added that since Ade-Solanke took over the management of the communication department of the company, she was not given the freehand to operate as all press releases must go through Babalakin.
