FAAN Holds Mock Exercise At Lagos Airport


In conformity with Standards and Recommended Practices (SARP) on safety, the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) is to organise a mock emergency exercise at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
According to an online statement issued by the General Manager, Public Affairs, Mrs. Henrietta Yakubu explained that this exercise, which is happening at 8.20pm, July 27 2018 is aimed at telling airport users and the general public that in conformity with the Standards and Recommended Practices on safety, the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos, will be staging a mock emergency exercise.

The exercise, Yakubu said which is happened at 8.20pm, July 27, 2018 is aimed at evaluating and ascertaining the airport’s level of preparedness in case of emergencies.

Consequently, FAAN appealed to the appealed to the public, especially those residing around the airport not to entertain any fear, as the exercise is only a mock.

FAAN, she said is committed to its core values of safety, security and comfort.
