The Transportation Safety Board has sent a team of investigators to the site where two passenger aircraft collided at Toronto Pearson Airport in Ontario, Canada yesterday Friday, January 5, 2018.
A WestJet Boeing 737-800 aircraft carrying 168 passengers with 6 crew on board, was waiting on the tarmac so it could head to a gate when it was clipped by an empty Sunwing aircraft that was being towed by ground crew.
The Sunwing airplane caught on fire, and Pearson fire and emergency services responded.
The passengers onboard the WestJet flight were evacuated using an emergency slide.
