…As Ambassador Warns Against Delays,Abandonment Of Passengers
The Minister of State,Aviation,Senator,Hadi Sirika, has stated that the Federal Government would continue to support Med-View Airline and other Nigerian carriers where necessary.
This is just as he commended Med-View Airline for it doggedness, determination and perseverance despite the challenges it encountered in the process of commencing flight operations to Dubai .
The Minister said this while speaking in Dubai, United Arab Emirate, at at an event to celebrate the maiden flight of Med-View Airline .
Sirika, who was represented by Alhaji Adamu Wakili, stated that December 7, 20017, the day Med-View Airline flew into Dubai was a very important day in the history of Nigerian aviation.
According to him, “Today is a day of celebration as we celebrate Med-View Airline for its doggedness, determination to commence flight operations into Dubai.”

Speaking further, he said, “It is a very important day to be celebrated. We are grateful to God for making the day possible .We commend Med-View Airline for taken this task of exhibiting a leadership role to move Nigerians and other nationals to Dubai. We assure you that we will support Med-View to attain greater height. We also assure Med-View Airline and other airlines of government support where necessary. Med- View success will not be possible without the patronage of the passengers. We pray that Med-View sustain the operation on this route
He continued, “I pray that God keep the airline and its management alive to grow the airline from strength to strength and may the airline grow more than we expected”
Also speaking, the Minister for Women Affairs, Aisha Alhassan stated that Med-View Airline’s operation into Dubai was not only a dream come true but that the feat was achieved through hard work, dedication and commitment.
Alhassan, popularly called Mama Taraba added that the success of the maiden flight means that God has answered the prayers of the Managing Director of the airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole.
“Today, we have our own airline operating into Dubai. We should all support and encourage the airline to grow so that it can sustain its operations. Let us encourage our brother by patronising the airline. If the airline make mistakes let the operators know so that they can make the necessary correction. I am very sure Med-View will not disappoint us ” she said.
Continuing, Mama Taraba said, “Med-View tickets are cheaper than other airlines flying into Dubai. Secondly, If you are coming to Dubai, you fly direct, but other airlines will first fly to their respective countries before flying to Dubai. That alone is enough for us to encourage Med-View Airlines so that it can grow and sustain its operations. Besides it serves Nigerian meals, so we must support and patronise our own”
On his part, The Nigerian Ambassador to UAE, Mohammed Dansanta Rimi urged Med-View Airline to remember that it is flying Nigeria’s flag and that several bilateral agreements have been signed but that Nigeria has not been able to use these opportunities.
The Ambassador also advised the airline to make on-time departure its watch word and to avoid delaying and abandoning its passengers, as it would make passengers to avoid the airline.
According to him, “To get patronage you have to be on-time, prompt, avoid delays. When you abandon passengers you cause problem for Nigeria Embassy in Dubai.”
He also advised the airline to persevere, adding that it is by perseverance that it can survive the stiff competition on the route
The Ambassador, who congratulated the airline for commencing operations on Dubai route, said that profit may not come easy when a businessman starts a business and that losses would come but that when the businessman persevere, he would make profit
Earlier, the Med-View Airline, Country Manager to Dubai, Mr. Ndukodon Bongi, stated that it took a lot of time, perseverance consistency for the airline to secure the approval to fly into Dubai.
This is just as he revealed that the airline carried over 170 passengers on the maiden flight to Dubai on the airline’s Boeing 767 aircraft.
He said this while speak with aviation journalists during a question and answer session.
Speaking further, Bongi explained that the journey started three years in April 2014 and that the airline needed to have partners who is like a sponsor;Al Maha Travel,in-charge of passengers and Air Cargo Trader(ACT) in charge of cargo .
He explained that Al Maha Travel is responsible for the carrier’s travel, adding that despite having these partners, it took a lot of time for the airline to come this far.
The airline Country Manager, who commended the Managing Director, Alhaji Muneer Bankole for his leadership role and for believing that his team in Dubai can do the job the airline employed them to do, adding that the airline is able to achieve the feat of flying into Dubai because of team work and spirit.
On the inaugural flight, he said, “The first flight by Med-View Airline into Dubai was remarkable one. It was made possible by team work. Now that we are here, we want people to test our product by patronising the airline.
