A clergy, Pastor Victor Kanayo of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been murdered in Lagos.
According to a statement by the image maker for the Lagos State Police Command, Superintendent of Police,(SP) Chike Oti, disclosed that the pastor was killed in the early hours of Sunday.
Kanayo was said to have been killed at about 7am in Offin, Igbogbo, a suburb of Ikorodu town.
Kanayo pastors the Fingers of God Parish, Igbogbo.
The spokesman stated that some arrests had been made concerning the murder and the suspects undergoing interrogation with a view to unravel the brain behind the heinous crime.
The Commissioner of Police for Lagos State, Edgal Imohimi, was also said to have dispatched a team of crack detectives to unravel those behind the murder, dig into the past of the victim and see if there is a correlation between his past and his killing.
“The issue of his past before he became a born again Christian is of interest to the police because of a human skull tattoo drawn on his left arm, which gives the victim away as one who may have belonged to any of the dreaded cult groups,” the statement said.
