Mama J’s Aviation Blog is to collaborate with CheckinNigeria to organise the first ever Cabin Crew (CC) Fair in Nigeria Scheduled to hold on March 29, 2017.
One of the organisers of the event and Publisher of Mama J’s Aviation Blog, Joy Ogbebo, who is also a Cabin Crew, explained that one of the aims of fair is to highlight the valuable and strategic role of Cabin Crew in the Nigerian aviation industry.
The fair with the theme, “Let Your Dreams Take Flight” Ogbebo, said is to also recognise and reward Cabin Crew icons in the industry.

Other aims of the fair, she said includes: to create a platform for professional and aspiring Cabin Crew to connect and share knowledge, to introduce aspiring Cabin Crew to their career choice and help them identify the key skills required, create opportunity to get enlisted into mamajsaviationblog’s Cabin Crew recruitment database and to mentor on career path.
According to her, “The need to highlight the strategic role of cabin crew at the workplace, recognize and reward Cabin Crew icons, who have contributed immensely to the growth of the profession and the urgent need to close the gap in regard to information dissemination and mentoring of aspiring Cabin Crew, has culminated to the planned hosting of this Fair.”
She explained that a research conducted by mamajsaviationblog and CheckinNigeria revealed and identified a gap as regard information on the impact of Cabin Crew.

The organiser pointed out that generally, there seems to be a lot of ignorance as about the strategic role of Cabin Crew, adding that unfortunately many aspiring CC are misled into attending training schools that are not approved by the NCAA .
A platform as this, she stated would help close this gap.
On the benefits of the fair, the Line Trainer and Cabin Crew Manager with 25 years experience, stated that it would provide opportunity for aspiring CC to meet airline officials, who recruits, calling on those interested in the profession to come to the fair with their Curriculum Vitae (CVs)
Other benefits of the March event according to Ogbebo includes creating opportunity to get their CVs enlisted into the organiser’s recruitment data base, networking with airline Cabin Crew, recognition and awards to Cabin Crew Icons, meet with aviation training Organisations and to have face to face interaction with certified airline training Organisations, adding that certificates would be awarded after the event.

Expected at the fair according to Ogbebo are airlines operators, Cabin Crew icons, professional Cabin Crew, aspiring Cabin Crew, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and Aviation Training Organisations certified by NCAA.
