A batch of voluntary returnees totaling 161 Nigerians were today brought back from crisis ridden Libya by International Organization for Migration(IOM) to the international wing of the Murtala Muhammed Airport(MMA),Lagos.
According to the Representative of the Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency(NEMA)Mr. Bandele Onimode .there were 162 persons on the manifest but only 161 returned to Nigeria.
Onimode said that these Nigerians were those who showed interest in returning to the country.
The breakdown according to NEMA showed that females 101 female which comprises of 92 adults,7 children, 2 infants and 60 males.
They were brought into the country on charted flights.
