..Assures Passengers Of Seamless Yuletide Operations
…Says It Has Secured Commitment To Supply Aviation Fuel From Oil Marketers
Air Peace one of the leading domestic airlines is to commence flight operations from Lagos to Uyo the Akwa Ibom state capital on Sunday, December 18, 2016
The airline is expected to operate out of Uyo into Lagos on Monday, December 19.
This is just as the airline assured air travellers that it has made adequate preparation with vendors for the supply of aviation fuel also known as Jet-A1throughout the festive period and beyond to ensure hitch-free flight operations.
An online statement issued by the Corporate Communications Manager of Air Peace, Mr. Chris Iwarah, stated that the airline was expanding its flight operations to Uyo in response to the yearnings of Akwa Ibom people and other air travellers.
The airline said the timing of its maiden flight to the state was to give air travellers on the Uyo route a dependable alternative and to cater for the huge traffic to the state during the yuletide.
“The airline further informed that since the launch of Air Peace Benin operations, its loyal customers and other air travellers have been calling on the airline to take its spectacular flight experience to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
“We are pleased to announce the commencement of our flight operations out of Lagos into Uyo on Sunday, December 18 and out of Uyo into Lagos on Monday, December 19. Akwa Ibom is a burgeoning economic and tourist centre in the South-South region of Nigeria. This status has led to a huge leap in the demand for air travel to and out of the state. Unfortunately, that huge demand has so far been met with mostly disappointment. Air Peace, therefore, felt it was time to respond to the yearnings of our numerous loyal customers and other air travellers to expand to the state. And there is no better time to do that than this yuletide when a lot of Nigerians and foreigners will be accessing Akwa Ibom for one activity or the other” The airline said.
Meanwhile, the airline has assured its loyal customers that it has not only made arrangements with oil marketers for the supply of aviation fuel also known as Jet-A1 but that it has also secured commitment from both its regular oil marketers and other vendors of the product for a hitch free operation during Yuletide.
According to Air Peace, “This good news is coming at a time we have also made arrangements with aviation fuel vendors to ensure availability of the product to enable us seamlessly take air travellers to our different destinations in the country. We have been able to secure the commitment of different aviation fuel vendors, besides our regular suppliers. They are ready to make the product available to us because they trust us. We don’t only promptly pay our vendors; we also provide them with funds well in advance to ensure there is no excuse for non-availability of the product. The operating environment may be challenging, but Air Peace irrevocably believes that air travellers deserve on-time, safe, comfortable and affordable flight experience.”
Recalled that on Friday, September 9, 2016, the airline launched its Lagos-Benin-Lagos and Abuja-Benin-Abuja flight operations to give air travellers a reliable option, adding that the launch has not only been a huge success, but has also drastically reduced the difficulties faced by air travellers on the Benin route.
