No Intention To Withdraw From Nigeria Or Reduce Capacity——–RwandAir

RwandAir has stated categorically that it neither has the intention to withdraw from the Lagos —-Kigali route nor reduce capacity contrary to insinuations in some quarters.

The clarification according to the airline became necessary following  claims that the airline is planning to withdraw from Nigeria.

The East African carrier instead affirmed that it was consolidating on growing its frequency in Africa’s largest economy.

This clarification and affirmation is contained in an online statement made available made to abelnewsng.com by the management of the airline in its headquarters in Kigali

The airline stated that such claim was a misrepresentation of the facts on ground concerning its operations in Nigeria.

“RwandAir wishes to notify its esteemed audience that the entire article is erroneous, wrong, mis-informed and invalid. There is no basis whatsoever for what the story tries to portray or to insinuate. RwandAir has no intention of withdrawing its operations to and from Nigeria rather it has all intentions of growing in frequency and capacity in this market that it has been serving for the past five years” The statement reads in part.

It continued, “Furthermore, the only authorised person to speak to the media on behalf of the airline in Nigeria is the Country Manager, Ms. Ibiyemi Odusi and as such it is regrettable that the newspaper did not make any efforts to contact her to verify their article ahead of publication.”
