
LagosVegFest; the festival on healthy lifestyle and plant based diet is to commence on November 18,2016 with exhibitors, workshops and exercise sessions at the Freedom Park, Lagos Island, will offer health choices for all participants.
This year’s LagosVegFest (LVF) three –day(from 18 to 20,2016) event with the theme, “Green Living & Yoga” will be the 3rd edition and has secured a partnership with Lagos @50; the anniversary celebrations by Lagos State Government.
Speaker on the event, the co-organiser of LagosVegFest, Hakeem Jimoh, said, “We are delighted to see this festival of healthy lifestyle growing“
“More and more Nigerians are becoming aware of how to improve their health and we need to reach many more. There still way to many unhealthy habits that bring burden to our people. At LagosVegFest, people can experience the amazing benefits and great taste of a plant based diet as well as exercise and other healthy products” he added.
He stated that the November 18-20, 2016 event would again host some of Nigeria’s best businesses in the health and wellness industry, international guests, vegan lifestyle enthusiasts and leaders of thought in sustainable living at Freedom Park, Lagos Island.
Hakeem added that at this year’s festival, Dr. Aris Latham, the founder of ‘Sunfired Foods’ and a famous raw food chef from Panama is expected to grace the occasion from Panama.
He will give live cooking demonstrations during the three day festival.

Hakeem stated that already more than 25 exhibitors had confirmed their participation to showcase mostly Nigerian made products and services.
The exhibitors, the Co-organiser said are mostly small and medium scale enterprises.
Yoga, he said has become a popular way to stay healthy and fit for Nigerians, adding that at the International Yoga Day last year, the President’s wife, Aisha Buhari, told Nigerians to embrace Yoga to improve their health and that over a dozen Nigerian Yoga teachers will offer free classes for three days showing the variety of this age old practice.
This year’s LagosVegFest will mark the official launch of ‘VegMeat / Vegetarian Chunks’ a retail product that makes healthy cooking available to all Nigerians.
VegMeat tastes like beef but is 100 per cent animal-free, easy to cook, easy to store and more affordable compared to meat.
According to Hakeem every visitor will receive a free pack but that gate fee to Freedom Park applies.
