Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates has celebrated its fourth anniversary of the launch of its non-stop services between Lagos and Abu Dhabi in July 2012.
As part of the celebration, the airline will offer free Wi-Fi access for guests travelling on its flight between Lagos and the airline’s hub in Abu Dhabi on 4 July.
The free Wi-fly package is supported by the airline’s award-winning in-flight entertainment system, which includes over 750 hours of movies, TV shows, documentaries, children’s programmes, music channels and games.
Speaking on the celebration, Etihad Airways’ General Manager in Nigeria, George Mawadri, said that the airline was delighted to celebrate the milestone and thanked everyone who had contributed to its success.
According to him, “We are proud to have carried many thousands of guests to and from Nigeria since we launched our services here four years ago. Nigeria is a very important market, and we are committed to providing our travellers with world class travel experiences, renowned hospitality, and a greater choice of destinations whether they are traveling for business or leisure.
He continued, “I would also like to say a big thank you to all our partners in the local travel trade for their tremendous support over the last four years, and look forward to working even closer together in future.”
Etihad Airways currently operates four-times-per-week using an Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured to carry 254 guests, 18 in Business Class and 236 in Economy Class.
