
President Muhammadu Buhari is to commence a two-day working visit to Lagos state from on Monday, May 23, 2016.
Lagos State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Steve Ayorinde, made this known in a press statement on today; Saturday May 21,2016 .
He explained that this would be the President’s first official visit to the state since he was sworn in on May 29,2015.
Ayorinde further explained that the President during the visit would commission the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) Rescue Unit, at Cappa, near Oshodi.
The Rescue Unit ,he stated was constructed by the state government to ensure prompt and swift response to emergency situations.
Thereafter, he said the President Buhari would commission the newly-constructed Ago Palace Way in Okota, Isolo and after which he would pay homage to Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
The President, the commissioner added would be hosted to a reception at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos.
