…Recognises Outstanding Women For Their Contributions To Society
The management of Le Meridien Hotel has organised special celebration for women in commemoration of the International Women’s Day in March.
It was also an avenue for women to take a break from their busy schedules, get recognised and be celebrated for their contribution to the society.
Over 60 notable Port Harcourt female invitees converged over Le Meridien Eclairs and Le Meridien Sparkling cocktails at the famous Akuma conference Hall of Le Meridien Ogeyi Place.
The theme of the event, “Make up Is a Work Of Art” is centered on the importance of a woman in the society while creating an atmosphere for the Nigerian girl to learn from past female role models who had left footprints in the society.
Packages from the hotel management were given as part of the celebration as well as Le Meridien music interludes and a slide show of Port Harcourt Entrepreneurs featuring Nigerians top society women and female bloggers.
There was equally a week-long of Le Meridien Brand Style Unlock Art Exhibition, which unlocked Port Harcourt as a destination for travelers.

The Area Communications Manager Starwood Hotel and Resort – Nigeria, Ms. Nanji Tyem, the Director of Revenue Le Meridien Ogeyi Place, Ms. Nengi Minakiri as well as the current Miss Rivers State Beauty Pageants contestants equally graced the occasion.
Over 11 women were awarded during the event for Entrepreneurship and Nigerian Female top bloggers were not left our as Nkechi Eze of Bella Naija Weddings was given an award for Best Female Blogger while Olori Supergal was notable recognized and lauded for her efforts by all in attendance.
Other highlights of the event were features such as the exiting line dancing, music, raffle draws ranging from SPA sections, complimentary hair-do, weekend stays for two at other Starwood Hotels in Nigeria including Le Meridien Ibom Hotel & Golf Resort- Akwa Ibom, Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Sheraton Abuja Hotel and Le Meridien Ogeyi Place Port Harcourt, the exotic Muma Dance, galleries and special presentations alongside the cutting of a double deck cake by all the women in celebration of togetherness and unity.
