
Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management and automation has said that it will sponsor the Nigerian male and female winners of the recently held Lagos State Marathon to the 2016 Schneider Electric Paris Marathon scheduled to hold in Paris, France on April 3rd, 2016.
It further stated it was part of the company’s launch of its brand and business campaign called Life Is On.
The Paris Marathon, one of the biggest marathons in the world, is in its 40th edition.
The 42.195km scenic race; which will go through the beautiful city, passing many iconic sights in Paris, complies with international road race (IAAF and FFA) regulations.
Speaking on the sponsorship, the Country President, Schneider Electric Nigeria, Walid Sheta said, “We are excited to support and sponsor two Nigerian athletes to this year’s Paris Marathon because the experience will further motivate our athletes and spur them to greater achievements. The Schneider Electric Paris Marathon provides the perfect opportunity to link our brand to the spirit and values embodied by the timeless challenge of the marathon, but with a focus on the people, the technologies and the ability to do things differently.”

Walid further noted that the Marathon resonates with the company’s 2016 global theme ‘Life is On’, which encapsulates the vibrant human energy directed towards life either at work or play.

The Chairman, Lagos State Sports Commission and head of the organising committee for the Lagos State Marathon, Deji Tinubu, also commended the efforts of Schneider Electric.
