FAAN Alerts Nigerians Against Falling Victims Of Employment Racketeers

The management of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has stated that some persons it described as unscrupulous people have continued to extort money from unsuspecting Nigerians and promising them employment in the authority, using dubious websites.
The General Manager, Corporate Affairs, FAAN, Mr Yakubu Dati, who disclosed this in an online statement made available to journalists in Lagos, added that in view of this, the agency decided to put the general public on alert in order to fall victim.
According to him, “We hereby wish to restate to members of the public, especially job applicants, to beware of such employment racketeers as the authority is not employing currently.”
He assured the public that whenever the authority gets approval to embark on employment, the exercise would be duly advertised and the process made transparent, in line with best standards and practice.
He advised the public to ignore any website claiming to be to employ people on behalf of the agency, stressing that for the avoidance of doubt, the authority’s only authorised website is www.faannigeria.org.
Meanwhile, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN),Engr. Saleh Dunoma, has been honoured by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) with the award of “Leader of Service Excellence” award at the institute’s Presidential Dinner and Awards.
According to NIPR, Dunoma was found worthy for the award because of his enormous contributions to the development of the nation’s aviation sector and for his “outstanding contributions impacting positively on Nigeria’s reputation, including best practices in corporate communication, commendable corporate citizenship and landmark in corporate value delivery”.
Dunoma was appointed MD/CEO of FAAN in 2014 and since then, he has brought his immense experience in airport management to bear on service delivery at all Nigerian airports managed by FAAN.
