Nigeria -US Chamber Facilitates $5B Investment In Nigeria

The Nigeria USA Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) is facilitating over $5billion oil refineries, energy and other projects in Nigeria.
The Chamber said in a statement to “The Immigrant” that “officers of NUSACC would meet first week of February in Chicago, United States with the two China and Russia firms, KDC and Triada, that are representing major firms from the two countries that would be investing in the projects.”NUSAAA2
At a Business to Business Seminar held recently in Youngtown, Ohio the NUSACC disclosed that the projects includes ‘building a large oil refinery (joint KDC/Triada venture) in Nigeria at an estimated cost of between $3b-$5b.”
It stated that Triada, a major Russian firm will be partnering with KDC of China, Barclays and other United Kingdom Banks to finance the projects to up to 80percent of the cost while local investors in Nigeria will be expected to contribute up to 20percent towards that projects.
Other projects include “building a mini oil refinery (joint KDC/Triada venture) at an estimated cost of $100m and Energy project(s) (joint KDC/Triada venture) at an estimated cost of $50m.”
Also listed and which will be part of the discussion in Chicago are “Solar water pumps export from Asia (KDC venture); manufacturing Plant in Nigeria (KDC/Chinese Venture); Alianza Security Services in Nigeria (Major Russian Securities Firm) to provide high-end security services for major installations and high value assets in Nigeria.”
The NUSACC added that other projects being facilitated by it include “a Chinese Fertilizer Company seeking to establish a fertilizer processing plant in Nigeria; a major Ohio Metal Forming Company Serving the oil and Gas Sector and a California Turbine (Turnkey) Company which is seeking partners with whom to enter the Nigerian Market.”
