The running mate to the late Prince Abubakar Audu in the November 21 governorship election in the state, Mr James Faleke, has picked Mohammed Audu as his running mate.
This development is coming just as the APC picked Alhaji Yahaya Bello as replacement for Abubakar Audu, the party’s governorship candidate who died last Sunday, a day after the election he was poised to win.
Faleke, who has been picked as the substitute for the late Abubakar Audu, while addressing his supporters in Lokoja today promised them that he would reclaim the mandate the people of the state gave to him freely during the election.
He stated that that attempts to snatch power from the reins of the APC in Kogi State were fruitless as the party was ready to chart a new course for the state.
He further stated that there was no disagreement between him and the immediate family of late Abubakar Audu.
Faleke pointed out that the task ahead was a moral burden on him to fight on, till the victory of APC was achieved, adding that as it is today he is only person holding on to the votes cast for the APC August 28, 2015.
At the gathering where Faleke picked Bello in Lokoja were APC stalwarts the three senatorial districts of the state were present.
