The Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, Command of Nigeria Immigration Services (NIS) has lost one of its officers, an Assistant Comptroller of Immigration, Nassir Nsai Wilfred.
The late Nassir, who died in the early hours of Sunday was said to have reported to work, closed and went home not showing signs of illness.
The death of the ACI threw the command into a state of mourning, as the late officer according to one of the officers in the command, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, was a good man.
“We have lost a nice man” he said
At Lagos Airport of the service, some of the colleagues of the deceased were seen discussing in very low tones the death of their colleague in twos and threes.
Some of them who could not hide feelings and shock of the death of their colleague, said, “we were shocked to hear the death of someone, who did not manifest any sign of sickness while on duty some hours.
It was gathered that the late Nassir, who until his death was in the Surveillance Department of the command, was described by his colleagues, friends as a very friendly officer, who showed concerns about welfare of everybody around him
It was further learnt that his remains would be flown to his home town, Gembu, Sardauna Local Government Area of Taraba State for burial.
