An Italian woman, Lilian Abdulrahman, was yesterday detained for s hours by security agents at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Terminal Two(MMA2), Lagos for preventing them from screening her bags.
Abdulrahman, according to investigation had arrived Lagos on an board Aero flight from Abuja at about 12 noon but was detained by officers of the Nigerian Police Force, security officials of MMA2 and officials of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).
Investigation further revealed that on arrival, she was alleged to have refused security officials of MMA2 from screening her bags, contrary to airport security standard practice.
The woman was alleged to have insulted security officials of MMA2 before dragging her luggage out from the Arrival Wing to wait for waiting Honda CRV with registration number AGL209AA.
Her behavior was said to have infuriated the security men who promptly alerted the policemen attached to the terminal, who immediately prevented the car from leaving the premises until the luggage thoroughly screened..
The screening created a scene at the terminal, as other passengers became interested and gathered around the scene to see what would happen.
However, her initial resistance her luggage was eventually screened but nothing was implicating was found in the bag and after which she apologised to MMA2 security officials.
