The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency(LASEMA) said that it has responded to an incident involving a tanker loaded with 33,000 litres of diesel which overturned due to driver negligence.
According to the Director Genera and Chief Executive Officer, LASEMA,Dr Olufemi Osanyintolu,the driver and motor boy sustained injuries and have been transferred to undisclosed hospital.
He said that a combined team of agency firefighters, the Lagos State Fire Service, Nigeria Police and that of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria(FAAN) fire service are all responders at the scene.
He added that transloading of product is about to commence and that recovery is ongoing
