President Muhammadu Buhari today confirmed the appointment of Mohammad Adamu as the substantive Inspector General of Police (IGP)
The President’s Aide on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, Adamu’s stated that the appointment was confirmed at the Police Council Meeting that was held at the State House and presided over by Buhari.
“The Police Council chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari today, confirmed Mohammed Adamu as the substantive Inspector General of Police (IGP), “Ahmad had tweeted.
AIG Abubakar Adamu Mohammed hails from Lafia in Nasarawa State., was appointed on January 19,2019.
He was brought from National Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies, NIPSS.
The just confirmed IGP was Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State, Commissioner of Police, Enugu State and has also served at Interpol and FCIID, Alagbon for some years before he was promoted to the rank of AIG.
