Alleged N4.7B Fraud: Ex- Oyo Governor, Rasheed Ladoja Knows Fate Tomorrow

A Federal Court sitting in Lagos has slated for tomorrow judgement in the charge preferred against Ex -Governor of Oyo State, Rasheed Ladoja and his former Commissioner for Finance, Waheed Akanbi.

Justice Mohammed Idriss was said to have sent notice to the parties that the judgement will be delivered on Friday, February 8, 2019.

Justice Mohammed Idris reserved his judgment after counsel representing parties had adopted their final written addresses before the court.

Ladoja was charged by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with converting N4.7billion from the State’s treasury to his personal use.

He was re-arraigned along with Akanbi, his former Commissioner for Finance on 11 counts charge of money laundering and unlawful conversion of public funds.

They had pleaded not guilty to the charges.
