Serving police officers in Nigeria have been advised to give their best in performing their constitutional role of securing life and properties in any situation they find themselves.
The advice was given by Barrister Morufu A. Animashaun, today, during the annual award ceremony on Crime Reporters Association of Nigeria (CRAN), held in Lagos.
Animashaun, who received CRAN’s ‘Excellence Award in Police Legal Duty’, said he never knew that he was being monitored by anybody not to talk of expecting recognition from anybody.
Barrister Animashaun, who is currently attached to the General Investigation of Force CIID, Alagbon-Ikoyi, Lagos, said, “I have had time to reflect deeply within me whether to accept the kind gesture or refuse it, but I chose to accept it due to the track records and the antecedent of the association especially in the area of exposing high profile crimes in Nigeria.

This honour is a demonstration God always stands behind truth, honesty and justice.I therefore use this opportunity to urge other police officers to stand tall even in the face of adversity and you shall be rewarded someday”,
